Sideline collects information you provide directly, such as your account details, group names, calendar links, child names, sports, event filters, and phone numbers submitted for text message updates.

We also collect calendar event information from the calendar feeds you add, including event titles, times, locations, descriptions, and related calendar metadata.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide Sideline, sync calendars, display schedules, power shared group pages, send requested text message updates, secure accounts, troubleshoot issues, and improve the service.

Public Shared Pages

Public group links may display schedule information to anyone who has the link. This may include child names, sports, event titles, times, locations, descriptions, and calendar names depending on what has been shared to the group.

Text Message Updates

When you provide a mobile number on a public group page, we use that number to send text messages the day before upcoming events in that calendar. We may share phone numbers and message content with third party messaging providers so they can deliver those texts.

We keep subscription records such as phone number, subscription status, consent time, and the last notification date so we can manage delivery and opt-outs.

Service Providers

We use third party providers to host the app, store data, authenticate users, process analytics, sync calendar information, and deliver messages. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to operate Sideline.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may remove calendars, groups, or subscriptions where the app provides those controls.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Sideline is intended for use by parents, guardians, and other adults managing family schedules. Do not create an account or submit information if you are not old enough to use online services in your location.

We may update this policy as Sideline changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
